Meet the Doctors

  • Corey A. Osborne, DC, DIBAK, DCBCN, DCCN, QNCP

'At an early age, I have seen the miracle of chiropractic, even in myself.  Growing up, I suffered from severe hospitalized asthma, poor immune system, and chronic severe headaches.  After trying all that conventional medicine had to offer, my parents took me to our local chiropractor.  Since starting a treatment plan and following through, not only have I never been hospitalized for asthma again, I have no symptoms.  My immune system is strong and rarely do I ever get Headaches.  Thus, at an early age, I have known what a life changing experience chiropractic can have for a patient and have continued to witness miracle after miracle.”

In late 2019, he became a member of the ICAK USA Education Committee and then in October 2020, he took a seat as Member at Large on the Board of Directors of ICAK USA.

Dr. Osborne graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in the winter of 2000 with a BS in human biology and a doctorate in chiropractic. He has continued his education gaining diplomate status in Clinical Nutrition and Applied Kinesiology as well as certificates in Chinese Acupuncture and Functional Medicine. Starting October 2022, he began studying Contact Reflex Analysis, or CRA.

In addition, he is very active within his profession and has been published for research in the area of advanced imaging and was the first chiropractor ever published in the journal of manipulation and physical therapeutics on the topic of syringomyelia, a condition in which a fluid-filled cyst develops within the spinal cord. While at Logan College of Chiropractic, Dr. Osborne also found he excelled at radiology and was given the award of excellence for his performance in the radiology field.

Dr. Osborne founded Osborne Family Chiropractic in January of 2000 in Coal City, IL, and moved his practice to O’Fallon, IL in the fall of 2002 to be closer to family.  He was one of the first doctors to bring Functional Medicine to the O'Fallon, IL area and has since dedicated his practice to the advancement of treating patients with chronic conditions.

  • Taelyong L. Hwangbo, DC

In undergrad, I didn’t have any set goals or even know which route I wanted to pursue. I always wanted to do pharmacology, but working as a pharmacy technician made continuing down that path difficult. Seeing patients get limited relief and progression towards better health was very disheartening. Later that semester, my girlfriend (now wife), convinced me to see a chiropractor for headaches that I’ve had for 3 years. I was a non-believer, but she told me I must go see a chiropractor. After the first adjustment, I thought it was a fluke that I didn’t have a headache the next day and figured they would return within no time. To my surprise, the headaches were gone! That's when everything made sense. I knew what I wanted to do from that moment on. There is a saying that the career chooses you, well, Chiropractic chose me!

Dr. “Lio” Hwangbo is originally from Alabama where he attended Troy University. Here, he received his Bachelors in Biology with a minor in chemistry. For four years, he was a part of group known as Circle K, a community service organization. After graduating, Dr. Lio enrolled at Life University in Georgia. There, he went on a week-long mission trip to Peru where the student chiropractors adjusted 70-80 people each for 4 days straight. The mayor of Arequipa awarded each group member a gratitude medal for their service! He also served as the Vice President for the NET Club. In the spring of 2020, he graduated on the President’s List from Life University with a doctorate in Chiropractic. He is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He is licensed and board certified in both the State of Georgia and Illinois.

After finishing a 100-hour course in December 2021, he became PAK certified in Applied Kinesiology through the International College of Applied Kinesiology. January 2022, Dr. Lio became a Level 1 Certified NET Practitioner. He is also proficient in TRT, Thompson, and Activator techniques. In October 2022, he began studying Contact Reflex Analysis, or CRA.

Over the next few years, Dr. Lio Hwangbo plans on becoming a Quantum Neurology Certified Practitioner, Quintessential Application Certified, and a Level 3 Certified NET Practitioner.

Dr. Hwangbo and his wife, Dr. Sasha Tran, have recently moved from Georgia and currently reside in Fairview Heights, IL with their dog named Potato.

  • Sasha H. Tran, DC

I never knew about Chiropractic growing up. I always had a misconception about it, due to lack of information. With my background of growing up in an Asian-American household, there were many things that we did that were considered 'unconventional' to modern medicine. So, when a Life University recruiter started talking about Chiropractic, I was very intrigued. They said “Chiropractic can help the body heal without medication,” and from that point, I became all in. I completely switched my path from becoming a MD to a DC.

During Chiropractic school, I haven't found what really resonated with me until I went to a free NET (Neuro Emotional Technique) seminar on campus. That was when I found my calling and my purpose. To say that a technique changed my life sounds a bit dramatic, but it really did. It has allowed me to be able to help patients with their mind-body issues. NET in addition to chiropractic is what gets me to wake up excited about doing what I do.

Dr. Sasha Tran grew up in Alabama and attended Troy University. Here, she met her husband, Dr. Lio Hwangbo. During her time at Troy University, she was part of Circle K, a community service organization, and Tri Beta, which is a Biology Science Club. Upon graduating from Troy University, she enrolled at Life University. While there, became the president of NET, Neuro Emotional Technique, Club and developed a passion for it. She also went on a mission trip to Peru alongside her husband, Dr. Lio, where the student chiropractors adjusted 70-80 people over a 4-day period. They were each awarded a gratitude medal for their service! Dr. Sasha graduated on the President’s List in December 2020 and became board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. She is licensed and board certified in both the state of Georgia and Illinois.

In December 2021, she completed a 100-hour AK course and is now PAK certified in Applied Kinesiology through the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK). She is also a NET level 1 Certified Practitioner.

Dr. Sasha is currently working on completing her Masters of Sports Health Medicine. She is also planning on becoming a Quantum Neurology Certified Practitioner, a Level 3 NET Certified Practitioner and Webster Certified.

Dr. Tran and her husband, Dr. Lio, recently moved from Georgia and currently reside in Fairview Heights, IL with their dog named Potato.
